About Our Team

Filling, delicious and open to limitless possibilities, Arepas are a Venezualan tradition dating back to pre-Columbian times. The buns — made using naturally gluten free white corn — are grilled and stuffed to bursting with meat, veggie and vegan fillings.

David, the young entrepreneur behind Guasa, first introduced the flavours of his native Caracas to the streets of London in 2013, setting up a stall in Deptford Market. Since then, his ever-versatile Arepas and other Venezualan specialties have proven a hit across London’s street food scene.

Whether you opt for the buffalo beef, roasted pork collar, smoky beans or teriyaki style jackfruit, don’t forget a side of sensational yucca fries, plantains or fried breaded cheese sticks — sheer indulgent pleasure.
